I have read that you should not mix and match speed ratings. I understand that an "H" rated tire can't handle the speeds that a "V" rated tire can, BUT what is the real problem with having 1 "V" rated tire and 3 "H" rated tires on my car. I do not even antisipate hitting the speeds of an "H" rated tire, let alone a "V" rated tire.
Is there any thing to worry about if I have the 1 "V" rated tire on my car, as far as handling and wear?
the problem is when you mix any different tire types, it can mess up your handling.
if one tire has a stiff sidewall and one has a soft sidewall, then you corner…
it can do some rather strange things.
they likely have different "stickiness" if you panic stop, your car may spin on the sticky tire.
if you are doing "regular driving" it should be fine,
but the first time you try to avoid something, or stopping for some kid that ran out in front of your car, then you might find out why they say not to mix them.
